Visitors to the Matheson Learning Commons will find a selection of unique book collections on display throughout the main floor.  Every book can be borrowed for leisure or scholarly pursuits. Learn more about these collections and browse the titles online.

Badger Books are located in shelving near the Ask Us desk.
  • Bestselling fiction and non-fiction including crafting and how-to books
  • Wellness titles include books related to mental, physical, emotional and financial wellness
  • Browse the titles online or view them just beside the Ask Us desk
  • Books may be signed out for 4 weeks, and can be renewed

Entiohahathe’te Knowledge Den

Entiohahathe'te Knowledge Den
Entiohahathe'te is Brock University's Spirit Bear. Our Indigenous Collection is named in the bear's honour.
  • This Indigenous collection includes books, DVDs, picture books and more by and about First Nations, Métis, and Inuit in Canada and North America
  • Browse the titles online or view them at the south entrance on the main floor
  • Also located in the Entiohahathe’te Knowledge Den is the Brock micro-gallery of the Canadian Library Project.

Entiohahathe’te (Kanien’keha / Mohawk language) means “It will be a bright road/path”. Listen to the audio below for pronunciation.

Thematic displays are updated monthly. They include e-books available in Omni as well as print titles, located on shelves next to the Ask Us desk.
  • Every month, library staff select titles for display related to a specific theme
  • Print titles are available on shelving next to the Ask Us desk
  • e-books are curated in thematic collections in Omni
  • Brock community members are encouraged to borrow from this display. Regular loan periods apply.
