Open Access Week is an international annual celebration of open access. Events are held around the globe to:
- highlight the potential benefits of open access
- foster knowledge sharing among colleagues
- help inspire wider participation in helping to make open access a new norm in scholarship and research
Brock University Library has led campus celebrations of Open Access Week since 2010.
In celebration of Open Access Week 2025, Brock Library has developed a report called the State of Scholarly Publishing. This report will give you insight on:
- top publishers used by Brock researchers
- proportion of Brock researchers publishing open access
- the cost of article processing charges (APCs) paid by Brock researchers
This guide called Getting Your Research Out can also help you improve the reach of your research and gain understanding in navigating open access options after you have published your work!
