
The Makerspace has an abundance of tools both digital and analog to help you create and invent. Make use of our workstations and labs as creative spaces to get inspired and generate ideas.
Technology Collection
Faculty and instructors may request the use of audio/video equipment for the Winter semester but must contact the makerspace beforehand. Learn more about the library’s pickup instructions.
Indoor USB Mics
These devices are used for indoor recording that use a USB connection to operate. These are mainly used for voice recording for podcasts, voice acting, and interviews.
Field Recorders
These devices are used for more outdoor recording on-the-go that are easy to set up and take down. These are also used for interviews, and foley work.
Music/Sound Production
These devices are used for sound/music production, primarily in the editing stage. These are mainly used for capturing/manipulating vocals/instruments and the subsequent editing that accompanies them.
GoPros
These devices are durable and portable cameras for taking fast moving physical action from a first person perspective. These are mainly used for capturing anything action-oriented from extreme sports to any intense situation that would put other cameras at risk.
360° Cameras
These devices are portable 360 degree cameras meant to capture the full scope of your surroundings. These are mainly used for capturing photos/footage of vast landscapes or large areas, indoor/outdoor.
Lego
These are used for building prospective and tangible models for later development in 3D modelling softwares.
3D Scanners
These devices are for constructing a fast and basic 3D model of any physical object to be later printed through modelling software.
Mobile
These devices are for experimenting in the world of VR from a mobile perspective. These are more for those interested in playing VR and understanding how it operates.
These devices are for programming objects to perform particular tasks. This is mainly directed towards those with an interest in coding or robotics.

In the Space
The Makerspace is equipped with a variety of labs and stations for specific types of making.
While the labs are unavailable, the Prototyping Lab is still able to run any printing jobs for students and staff to bring their ideas to life. For more information on this lab and submitting a job request, please see our Services page.
