The Makerspace has an abundance of tools both digital and analog to help you create and invent. Book time in the Makerspace to use our labs, stations, tools, or equipment for loan.
Faculty and instructors may request the use of audio/video equipment for the duration of the term. Contact us if you need technology recommendations for your projects, assignments, or courses. All other students and staff can choose the technology list below and view our calendar to schedule time for pickup.
These devices are durable and portable cameras for taking fast moving physical action from a first person perspective. These are mainly used for capturing anything action-oriented from extreme sports to any intense situation that would put other cameras at risk.
These devices are portable 360 degree cameras meant to capture the full scope of your surroundings. These are mainly used for capturing photos/footage of vast landscapes or large areas, indoor/outdoor.
These devices are for constructing a fast and basic 3D model of any physical object to be later printed through modelling software.
In the Space
Despite the main doors being closed, patrons can book time in the space. The following services can be booked in any of the “Free” events in the Makerspace calendar. The Makerspace is equipped with a variety of labs and stations for specific types of making.
This lab (studio) is equipped with a 9 x 12-foot backdrop, studio lights, and professional cameras and lenses. Complete our Video and Photography Lab orientation on Experience BU to make your booking.
The Prototyping Lab is still able to run any printing jobs for students and staff to bring their ideas to life. For more information on this lab and submitting a job request, please see our Services page.
Sections within the main Makerspace area that house equipment across various disciplines to encourage exploration and making on the part of the patron.
