Provincial boost to help Brock ready grads for cutting-edge STEM careers
June 17
The creative vision of Brock’s newest GAME program graduates was larger than life at the official kickoff of Toronto Games Week. Featuring local and indie video game studios and producers, the June 11 event featured massive projections of games showcased on Canada Malting Silos along the city’s waterfront. From left are Mes Saghatelyan (BA ’26), Maxwell Jones (BA ’26), Omar Nori (BA ’26) and Travis Waterman (BSc ’26), who spoke with host and organizer of the annual Canadian Game Awards Carl-Edwin Michel about their award-winning game DisGo.

We acknowledge the land on which Brock University was built is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee (ho-din-anish-shonee) and Anishinaabe (A-nish-shin-aaabee) people, many of whom continue to live and work here today. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and is within the land protected by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum agreement. Today, this gathering place is home to many First Nations, Métis and Inuit, and acknowledging reminds us that our great standard of living is directly related to the resources and friendship of Indigenous people.
