Virtual Programming

Registration opens on Wednesday January 13th and closes on Wednesday January 20th for our virtual listing of intramurals. Leagues will run for 3 weeks total and be completed before Reading Week. Leagues for the first half of the semester include rocket league, NHL, FIFA, Words with Friends and Among Us.

We will also be running fantasy hockey and basketball leagues. Registration is through IMLeagues with drafts taking place before the league begins on Sunday January 24th. The fantasy league will run for the whole semester and be finished before exams begin in April.

There will be another set of virtual intramural leagues offered after Reading Week.

In the current times of physical and social distancing, here at Brock Recreation we are continuing to work towards offering programming to keep our participant involved. With that being said we are heading towards online gaming as a program opportunity. We will have different leagues/tournaments run throughout the semester. If you have an idea for a different game that we are not currently offering please feel free to email Megan Locker at mlocker@brocku.ca with your suggestions.

  1. Login to IMLeagues using your Brock student email or create an account if you do not have one.
  2. Locate the tournament you are interested in participating in and create a team with your GamerID/Tag as your team name for console/computer games or your personal email for phone app games. This is mandatory as it will be how opponents find each other in the game.
    1. For team based games ensure that your teammate(s) join your team before the registration deadline.
  3. Once registration is complete the schedule will be posted with the date of your game being the deadline that the game needs to be completed. This is important to ensure that the league continues in an orderly fashion.
  4. Participants must communicate with their opponent and determine a mutually beneficial time to play their game before the set deadline date.
  5. Once the game is played, both participants must report the final score and winner.
  6. Standard rules for each game will be posted on each league site as well as be listed below.
  7. Any score/game result disputes will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
