The Walker Sports Complex is located at the west side of the Brock campus.
To register, you may visit the Welcome Desk in the Walker Sports Complex in person, call 905 688 5550 x4060, or register online. If you are phoning to register, please have your VISA or Mastercard number and expiry date available.

The Walker Complex is generally closed on statutory holidays. However, the Walker Complex is sometimes open for reduced hours even when the rest of the university is closed.

Parking
If you are registered for a Recreation multi-week program, including swim lessons, you will be provided with access to free parking in Lot B during your program. NEW in Fall of 2023 – All parking passes are virtual. Once you have registered for a program with Recreation, you will receive an email from parkingservices@brocku.ca with instructions on how to register your license plate(s) and the rules about parking.
If your program occurs on a Saturday or Sunday, parking is Free in Lots 1 and 2.
Lot P is located to the west of the front entrance of the Walker Complex, and is a Honk parking lot (on-line).
For those from the community who are registered through Brock Recreation for courses, you are eligible for a complimentary parking pass valid during your classes. This allows you to park in Lot B1, and not have to worry about paying each time. After your register for lessons, you will receive an email from parking@brocku.ca asking for information re: your vehicle to allow you to park during your lesson.
Using the facilities of the Walker Complex
Admission to the Walker Sports Complex facilities including the Zone fitness centre requires the purchase of a membership or a day pass. 10-time passes for either the pool or the full facility are also available. Memberships are available to the following groups:
Current Brock University undergraduate and graduate students
All current Brock University graduate students may use the facilities of the Walker Sports Complex (Zone Fitness Centre, track, pool, gymnasia) by swiping your Brock ID card at the Cage each time you enter.
c) Staff, Faculty, Community (ages 18+)
A membership is required to use the Walker Sports Complex and may be purchased at the Welcome Desk. Several membership options are available!
d) High School Students (ages 14-18)
During the summer months of May-August, high school students may purchase a facility/Zone membership by showing a current student ID at the Welcome Desk.
Go to the Equipment Room to get the appropriate identifying wristband. Note: we will look up your membership twice per membership term; after that, you must pay $2.00 every time you forget your card. It is your responsibility to have your card with you.
Inside the change rooms and outside the Zone are pay-per-use coin lockers (50 cents). There are also day-use lockers (no locks on them) inside the change rooms that you may use while you work out.
Bring your own lock or rent one at the Equipment Room for the day ($2), we also sell combination locks at the Central Equipment Room (Cage) and the Welcome Desk for $10. We have limited lockers available for rent by the term; ask at the Welcome Desk for sale dates.
Zone Fitness Centre
Expressfit fitness classes are included in your Walker All Access membership and for all Brock students. Expressfit classes are labelled with the location (outside, spin studio, fitness studio, pool).
Yes, close-toed and heeled shoes must be worn at all times when in The Zone
No. Chalk is not to be used in The Zone (this includes liquid chalk).
Please finish your drinks (coffee, energy drinks, etc) in open containers prior to entering The Zone. No outside food or drinks.
Aquatics

Children under 6 years old must be accompanied in the water by a parent or guardian* who is responsible for their direct supervision. Maximum of 2 children/guardian.
Children 6-9 who are non-swimmers must by accompanied in the water by a parent or guardian* who is responsible for their direct supervision. Ratio 4 children/guardian.
Children 6-9 who are swimmers, may be admitted to the pool unaccompanied. Parent or guardian* must be in the pool gallery. The child will be asked to demonstrate their swimming ability by completing the facility swim test—two widths of the pool without stopping. One width of the pool is equal to 18.5 metres.
*Guardians must be at least 12 years of age.
Tots in the pool must wear specially designed commercial swim diapers. No cloth or disposable diapers are allowed.
