Aquatics Centre
The Eleanor Misener Aquatic Centre at Brock University is the largest swimming facility in the Niagara Region. Our 50m Olympic size pool provides room for numerous water activities at the same time. There are 1m and 3m diving boards, a 5m platform and a swing rope to keep the most energetic of spirit entertained during fun swim times. The hydraulic floor in the shallow end can raise and lower turning the pool from a lap pool into a shallow wading pool for parents and tots. A whirlpool and sauna are also available for your use
15 and over Fitness Swim
A dedicated time for swimming lengths for those OVER the age of 15. Diving boards and tarzan rope are not open at this time. Youth under age 15 can swim lengths if accompanied by an adult (one on one).
Fun and Leisure Swim
The 1m and 3m diving boards, as well as the 5m platform are open at this time. Enjoy the swing rope and other water games. The whirlpool is available to those 15 and older.
Note: tots must wear swim diapers. No disposable or cloth diapers permitted.
The Zone Fitness Centre
Current Brock students have access to The Zone Fitness centre. The newly expanded Zone is 15,000 square feet of state of the art equipment, including including treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, upright bikes, recumbent bikes, total body trainers, an indoor rower and spin bikes for cardio training.
Strength training equipment includes selectorized circuits, a large multi Hammer Strength plate-loaded area, a full complement of free weights, and a fully accessible strength area. The Zone also offers the use of stability balls, BOSUs, plyometric boxes, resistance tubing, equalizers, and more.
You can book one free orientation session per year at The Zone. This includes an introduction to the fitness centre and equipment.
Rowing Centre
The Leo LeBlanc Rowing Centre is the training facility for the Badger varsity Rowing teams and the St. Catharines Rowing Club. It features an eight person tank that allows rowers to simulate on-water training.
Rowing Centre hours may differ from the rest of the facility. Please see Walker Complex hours of operation for the schedule.
Indoor track
The 200m indoor track is suspended above the Ian Beddis gymnasium and provides an extraordinary view of the activity areas below. The track has a rubberized surface and three lanes designated to accommodate both runners and walkers.
Fields
Alumni Turf Field
Located immediately west of the Walker Complex and south of the tennis courts, this outdoor turf field is used for the varsity lacrosse and rugby programs as well as intramurals. Brock student and members may use the turf field when it is available, check-in at the Cage before use.
Intramural Fields
Located adjacent to the Zone 2 parking lot, the Intramural Fields are used to host Softball, Flag Football, Soccer and Ultimate Frisbee games.
Varsity Soccer Field
Playing Field #2
Located west of the Village Residences and approximately 100 metres southwest of the Walker Complex, this outdoor field is used for the varsity Soccer programs at Brock University.
Varsity Rugby Field
Playing Field #3
Located far west of the Village Residences and approximately 150 metres southwest of the Walker Complex, this outdoor field is used for the varsity Rugby programs.
Courts
Squash Courts
The Walker Complex has 4 North American squash courts (18.5′ x 32′) that are located at the west end of the building.
Courts can be booked for a maximum of one hour at a time and can be done in person at the Central Equipment Room or by phone at x3377 before 11am each morning. Students must provide their student ID cards and get a wristband prior to use. We strongly recommend that you wear eye protection which can be borrowed at the Equipment Room.
Badminton Courts
Unless special events are happening in the building, Badminton Courts are set up in one of the three gymnasia (Beddis Gym, Davis Gym, Gym 2).
The courts may be used on a first come first serve basis. To use a badminton court, members must acquire a wristband from the Central Equipment Room. Racquets and shuttlecocks can also be rented or purchased at the Central Equipment Room.
Tennis Courts/Outdoor Basketball
Brock University has 4 outdoor tennis courts for Brock students and members to use, there are also two basketball nets located on the courts. Located west of the Walker Complex (by alumni field); weather permitting, they are open from the middle of March until the end of October.

Studios
Dance Studio
This multi-purpose room has sprung hardwood floors and floor to ceiling mirrors with a 2″ ballet bar. The Dance Studio is used by the PEKN Dance program as well as varsity fencing and wrestling teams.

Spin Studio
The spin studio is home to a variety of classes each week and can be used by Brock students and Walker Sports Complex members when classes are not being conducted. Online registration is required for Spin classes, or visit the Welcome Desk for assistance.
Fitness Studio
The fitness studio can accommodate our fitness programs and other Campus Recreation special interest courses.

Gymnasia
Bob Davis Gymnasium
The Bob Davis Gym is home to the Badger Basketball and Volleyball teams. This gymnasium is used for a variety of PEKN activity classes during weekdays. It can be divided into two separate areas with a removable dividing wall. A vinyl floor cover can be put down for non-athletic events. The Davis gym is 120ft x 100ft (12000 square feet) and has a 35 ft ceiling. Seating is for 900 people in bleachers.
Set-up options are: one university basketball court, two basketball cross courts, three volleyball courts, one university volleyball court, or eight badminton courts. The Bob Davis Gym is named for former long-time Athletic Director, Bob Davis.
Ian D Beddis Gymnasium
The Ian D Beddis Gym is equipped with drop down curtains that can divide the gymnasium into four separate areas. Each area can accommodate one basketball court, one volleyball court, or three badminton courts. The Ian D Beddis Gym often accommodates multiple recreational activities at one time, hosts intramural sports and Convocation and graduations.

Gym 2
Gym 2 is a multipurpose gymnasium. It has numerous educational gymnastic tools and is the main facility for our PEKN Children’s Movement Program. It also houses intramurals and various recreational programs. One end of gym 2 now houses Brock’s new Sport Performance Centre.
