Varsity Athletic Mentoring

FIRST-YEAR VARSITY ATHLETES:

We know what first year jitters are like!

We were nervous about university too! Making new friends, living in a new city, just finding the way to classes was a challenge. Luckily for you, the Mentorship Plus program will offer you your own varsity athlete mentor, which is like a guide to help you meet your goals this year.

You've probably come to Brock’s campus with a mixture of excitement, confusion, anxiety, and lots of questions. As a first-year varsity athlete mentee in Mentorship Plus, you will receive the support and encouragement you need during this time to ensure that your first year experience is a successful one. Let the experience of a senior varsity athlete be your guide!

What can I expect as a Mentee?
You will be matched with a senior varsity athlete who is in your program of study. (If this is your preference)
You could be matched with a mentor who shares similar career goals and/or interests as you. (If this is your preference)
The goal of a senior mentor is to ensure that your journey from high school to university is a success. Your mentor will share their experiences and help answer any questions you may have about campus life.

Now you’re a pro – you’ve figured out how to balance friends, employment, and academics while participating in the sport you love.
Now it's time to help a new Brock varsity athlete. You should be a mentor!
