PhD in Child and Youth Studies thesis defence

Lisa Whittingham, a PhD in Child and Youth Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Is It Better to Be Known?: Understanding the Vulnerability of Autistic Individuals in Registry-based Programs Used by Police Services in Ontario, Canada” on Tuesday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences (Health Sciences) thesis defence

Ahmad Mohammad, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Accelerated Ovarian Failure Causes Neuronal Detriments in the Menopausal Transition that are not Recovered by HIIT Exercise Training” on Tuesday, April 30 from 1 to 4 p.m. in STH 361.

Master of Science in Biological Sciences thesis defence

Mariana Garrido de Gastro, a Master of Science in Biological Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Dynamics of Simultaneous Arboviral Infection in Host and Vector Cells” on Wednesday, May 1 at 1 p.m. virtually in closed format.

Master of ​Arts in Applied Health Sciences (Sport Management) thesis defence

Jiayi (Jenny) Le, a Master of ​Arts in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “From an intersectional lens: Exploring Chinese women players’ experiences of oppression in Honor of Kings” on Wednesday, May 1, from noon to 3 p.m. via Microsoft Teams.
