Fit Link

Interested in pursuing a career in health rehabilitation? Fit Link is a one-year co-curricular program which runs concurrently with students’ academic study.

Learn about and build experience through this unique co-curricular program that includes networking with industry professionals, skill development workshops and intensive volunteering. In partnership with the Brock-Niagara Centre for Health and Well-Being, the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences and Career Education, Fit Link will assist you in building your knowledge of careers in rehabilitation sciences.

Students who complete Fit Link go onto pursue further education in the physical activity and health-related careers.

What’s involved?

Fit Link students are provided with opportunities to volunteer at the Brock-Niagara for Health and Well-Being with the Senior Fit and Heart Strong programs.

Students have opportunities engage in fitness assessments, class instruction, seminar facilitation, one-on-one training and more

Industry professionals help Fit Link students connect with health care professionals.  The professionals talk openly about their careers, schooling, the patients/clients with whom they work and insight into industry trends and current issues in their field.

Our workshops include opportunities for students to engage in activities to help them navigate their career path. Workshops in self-assessment, skills translation, resume development, application writing and more assist students in preparing to apply to professional health programs.

Students participate in individual and group meetings with the Career Education staff to discuss progress, career plans, interview and application preparation.
