    Welcome to Brock University!  Each year the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation (CPI) hosts a New Instructor Teaching Day for newly hired full-time and part-time instructors at Brock.  This event is also open to those who may have missed it the previous year.

    Included will be information on how CPI can support you in your teaching at Brock University. Please bring any questions you may have about teaching at Brock University.

  • Course Design/Redesign Workshop Jul 24 & Aug 28

    Instructional Skills Workshop Feb 21-23, 2018Are you developing a new course? Would you like to revise one of your current courses?

    Join facilitators from the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation (CPI) and explore considerations for designing an engaging and effective course. This workshop is designed to support you in the development of your course and includes an overview of the required components of Brock syllabi.  Online registration is open.

  • New Instructional Skills Workshop – Instructors, Teaching Staff and Teaching Assistants

    Instructional Skills Workshop Feb 21-23, 2018The Instructional Skill Workshop (ISW) is a certificate program designed to enhance teaching effectiveness through teaching practice and feedback in a small group setting with peers and colleagues.  This 3 day workshop is ideal for both new and veteran instructors and utilizes an intensive experiential learning approach.

    Wednesday May 1, Thursday May 2, and Friday May 3, 2019 (ISW 3 day certificate program)
    Open to instructors, teaching staff and teaching assistants. Multiple sessions offered.

  • Deletion of Course and Adhoc Isaak-Sakai Sites

    This week those listed as the primary contact for a course or adhoc site within the learning management system (Isaak-Sakai) were contacted about the pending deletion process of sites that are 4 years or older.  This includes Isaak-Sakai adhoc sites that have not been modified in 4 years.

    What does this mean?
    Older Isaak-Sakai site content can be copied into newer sites or exported from key tools. Steps on how to export content have been documented at: https://kumu.brocku.ca/sakai/How_do_I_export_site_content .

    Should you wish to retain site content, the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation (CPI) is available to help instructors retrieve, export and/or copy all of their site data.  Additional information is available here.
