Goodman School of Business
Accreditations & Memberships
Accredited by AACSB International
The Goodman School of Business is a member of an elite group of exceptional business schools around the world, with international accreditation conferred by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB International is the oldest and most respected accrediting body for business schools worldwide. With this accreditation, the Goodman School is recognized as offering the finest in business education, with programs that guarantee access to high quality faculty, modern curricula and real-world relevance. Prospective employers know that graduates of an AACSB-accredited institution are among the best and are prepared to perform. Goodman is one of only eight AACSB-accredited schools in Ontario.
Accreditation by AACSB International allows the Goodman School of Business to be one of seven Canadian universities with a Chapter in the Beta Gamma Sigma Honour Society (BGS). Students obtain membership in BGS through significant academic achievement. Membership in BGS provides an international badge of excellence and is the highest recognition a business student can receive in an undergraduate or masters program accredited by AACSB International. Membership (the top 10% of undergraduate students and the top 20% of masters students) will also provide a valuable alumni network and increased employment opportunities for our graduates.
Goodman's Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter received the Bronze Medal for Chapter of the Year in 2007 and Honorable Mention in 2008, completing among 457 schools for this honour. Goodman's chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma is consistently recognized as one of the best in the world.
Accredited by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario)
Brock University’s Goodman School of Business has become the first business school in Ontario to be accredited to the Master’s level by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) under the new National CPA Accreditation Program.
The achievement means the Goodman School will be able to offer graduates of its CPA-Accredited Program direct access to the CPA Common Final Evaluation (CFE), which is the national qualifying evaluation for the CPA designation. The accreditation was given for Goodman’s proposed CPA pathways, delivered through a combination of the Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) and Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degree programs, based on its substantial equivalence to the new CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP). Students enrolled in the accredited CPA Pathway will also be able to complete paid co-op work terms with national accounting firms, government agencies and public and private sector companies while completing the BAcc component.
