Direct and Indirect Assessment Methods and Procedures

For undergraduate and graduate programs, direct assessment procedures based on individual performance include, but are not limited to:

• Examinations and quizzes
• Standardized examination (e.g., ETS Major Field Test in Business)
• Individual Written papers
• Oral presentations (Group presentations only where each group member speaks)
• Individual Case analyses

Indirect assessments of learning and related support services are conducted through:

• Surveys of graduating students
• Tracking the nature of graduating students employment
• Surveys of alumni
• Feedback from Co-Op employers
• Suggestions made by the Undergraduate and Graduate Program Committees
