Yihong Bai Headshot

Yihong Bai has taught undergraduate students at all levels of the Economics department since the Fall of 2016 when he came to Brock University as a Master of Business Economics student.

Over the past nine semesters, Yihong has shown tremendous dedication to his teaching duties and to his professional development, with his overall student evaluation scores going up year after year.

As a Chinese student studying in Canada, he is genuinely supportive of international students and his bilingualism has truly been an asset to the department and to his students.

“My job,” says Yihong, “is not only to teach students how to use economic equations to solve their questions, more importantly, I can influence my students on how to study by using different resources and inspire their thinking.”

Testimonials

“Yihong shows a degree of enthusiasm and excitement for economics that is refreshing … he takes great pride in making sure that the students are not just fed the answers but rather he takes the time to walk the students through the different concepts required to answer questions.”

“He is good at using practical examples to explain economic theories. He is very patient in teaching students. Sometimes it is hard for me to understand a very abstract theory, but he never feels tired of explaining those theories to me. My studies have improved a lot with his help.”
