How to Apply

Applying for Federal Direct Loans begins with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The only official site to complete the FAFSA is fafsa.gov (if you go to a site that charges a fee or asks for credit card information, you have gone to an incorrect site). The FAFSA must be completed every year, beginning October 1 for the following Fall semester.

Brock University’s Federal School code is G09252

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form.

  1. E-sign a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) for each type of loan you wish to apply for and complete the Informed Borrower Information.
  2. Complete the appropriate mandatory Direct Loan Entrance Counselling/Informed Borrower Consent session.
