What we do

Student Accounts and Financial Aid

Student Accounts administers student accounts, including assessment of fees and preparation of receipts and tax documents. Processing payments and general inquiries are done at Brock Central on the third floor of the Schmon Tower.

Financial Aid helps students fund their education through government and university assistance programs, and to recognize student excellence.

The Role of the Student Accounts Office

The Student Accounts Office serves as the administration point for most university fees and charges.  This office, however, cannot make adjustments to any fees without the permission of the appropriate department.

Brock Central, located on the 3rd floor of the Schmon Tower, is open to answer student inquiries. Please click here for current hours of operation.

When calling for information regarding an account belonging to your child or spouse, please remember that student account information is confidential. For further details, please view our Privacy page and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy policy.

OSAP funding

Our officers work to get students the maximum funding entitled under OSAP program guidelines. In some cases, students with special or unusual circumstances may be granted an appeal to revise a funding assessment, but not all circumstances are eligible for review.

If you feel you have special circumstances that might warrant an appeal, please visit our OSAP forms page for some of the more common OSAP reviews. You can also book an appointment with a financial aid officer to review your file. Alternatively, you can submit an explanation of your situation and request for review in writing to our office.

Bursaries

Brock’s bursary programs assist students with academic costs and reasonable living expenses when government-funded programs, student earnings, and family assistance aren’t enough. Bursaries can also be awarded in emergencies to help with an unexpected circumstance or expense. Our reasonable living costs are determined by reviewing the costs reported by previous applicants to the bursary program, but certain expenses may be ineligible for assistance.  Apply through the OneApp.

Scholarships and awards

Brock’s awards and scholarships reward academic success and provide financial support to help students realize their goal of attaining a post-secondary education through university and government financial programs. Most Brock awards can be accessed using OneApp. Please see our prestige awards for the deadline and links to separate applications for entering, in-course and graduating students.
