Spring/Summer OSAP

If you have received full-time OSAP funding for the Fall and/or Winter session, you may be eligible for assistance for Spring/Summer courses. In order to qualify, you must meet minimum course load requirements as shown below, and the courses you are taking must be a required part of your program (electives are permitted). New applications must be submitted 60 days before your study period end date.  SP/SU extensions must be received 40 days prior to the end of your study period.   Fill out the application at the bottom of this page available on or about April 1, 2024.

If you did not receive OSAP during the Fall/Winter terms, you will need to fill out a new OSAP applicationGraduate students should use the graduate student OSAP extension form  link available at the bottom of this page. OSAP is not available to fund courses that you have already taken and passed (i.e., upgrading marks) unless a higher grade is required to remain in your program.  Verification from an academic advisor is required.  Students must contact their academic advisor to request they complete the required MS Office form, which will then be submitted to our office.

Please note: There are many course durations that may not fall under the typical deadlines (ie: accelerated delivery). The deadline dates apply to students who are a taking a typical Spring or Spring/Summer course load. If you are unsure of the deadline for your application, feel free to email central@brocku.ca or stop by Brock Central. Submit your extension as soon as you have finalized your SP/SU registration and the extension form is available (April 1).  In all cases, applications MUST be received 40 days before the end of your study period. All course load change forms must be submitted and other supporting documentation must be completed and uploaded to your OSAP portal (OSAP.ca) 15 business days before the end of your study period.

You can only be funded for a course once if you have obtained credit for the course unless you must obtain a higher grade to remain in your program or transfer to another program.

Remember that OSAP year is Sept – Aug.  If you need to complete a new app rather than an extension, be sure you are submitting for the correct OSAP year.  Example:  Current SP/SU term (2024) is the 2023-2024 OSAP year.  2024-2025 OSAP year begins September 2024 and runs to August 2025.
