Machine Shop
The Faculty’s Technical Services Department also includes the Machine Shop which provides a wide variety of services for teaching and research. Central to the Machine Shop is the shop itself which houses a variety of manual lathes and mills along with a CNC mill and a CNC lathe. Three Technicians and two Machinist Apprentices are available for jobs ranging form minor repair of equipment to design and construction of major equipment. The shop also includes a welding and metal-bending shop, a woodworking shop and a paint shop. Please contact Steven Renda at srenda@brocku.ca or extension 3420.

Electronics Shop
The Faculty of Mathematics and Science, under its Technical Services umbrella, manages an Electronics Shop to provide timely services to academic units within the faculty and the University. Services include the development of new and innovative equipment for teaching, research and the community as well as the provision of technical expertise and resources for the Sciences. Staff within the unit endeavour to maintain a high level of current technical knowledge through ongoing education and training.
