Yiaolong Yang, a candidate in the Department of Chemistry, will present his Master of Science thesis defence by video conference on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. in Mackenzie Chown H-Block 313.

His thesis is titled, (A) Constructing a Three-Dimensional DNA Nanomachine to Achieve Rapid Isothermal Signal Amplification for Nucleic Acid Detection (B) Regulation of DNA Strand Displacement Using an Allosteric DNA Toehold. 

His examination committee members are Dr. Rick Cheel, Chair; Dr. Julianne Gibbs-Davis, External Examiner, (University of Alberta); Dr. Feng Li, Supervisor; Dr. Heather Gordon and Dr. Art van der Est, Committee Members.
