ERIC DOLANSKY – Making an impact

Examine what it means to make an impact and how to do so more effectively. In academia, business and society in general, conceptualizing the impact of our ideas and actions has become more and more important. Goodman alumni – no matter where in their career – also have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the people and world around them through roles as managers, leaders, mentors and lifelong learners.

ANTONIA MANTONAKIS – A secret of psychology to help you stand out

Delve into the fascinating world of consumer psychology, and how certain facts – based in science – can help you to stand out in your career. In her talk, Mantonakis will share her secrets of psychology that will help you be more successful. Whether it’s at your next conference, job interview or meeting, this take-away will help you (or your brand) stand out.

Kai-Yu Wang – Bridging Minds and Markets: The Impact of Personality Traits on My Career

Learn how mastering character traits can pave the way to a successful career and life. Derived from Stephen Covey’s (1989) book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Wang shares the important character traits Covey identified and expands on how these influenced his own career.

Keynote: V Kumar
Valuing customer engagement

We show how firms can be managed to keep winning in their markets by delivering a superior customer value proposition.  Specifically, the talk focuses on customer and firm level strategies with the goal of maximizing customer and firm profitability.

Participants will be able to understand better the ways of delivering superior customer experience  through knowing:

  • How to measure the engagement value of customers, employees and the salesperson
  • How to measure brand value and link it to customer engagement

The participants will have exposure to understanding if marketing can lift stock prices; and the importance of managing firms from an interdisciplinary lens of marketing, finance, operations, management and information systems.
