The Faculty of Humanities includes all students in Canadian Studies, Classics and Archaeology, Interactive Arts and Science, Game, English, Creative Writing, History, Medieval and Renaissance Studies, French Studies, German Studies, Italian Studies, Hispanic and Latin American Studies, Philosophy, Dramatic Arts, Music, Studies in Arts and Culture, Visual Arts, and History of Visual Culture.

Smart Start
Meet other Badgers, learn about your Brock experience, and get answers to all your important questions. Led by a team of current students and supported by the broader campus community, programming includes course registration resources, finances, on-campus and off-campus living, student wellness, and university preparation.
BEGIN @ Brock: Social overnight orientation in July and August
Taking place directly after Smart Start, BEGIN is an overnight orientation program designed to help incoming students transition smoothly into life at Brock. Enjoy a campfire social, interactive workshops, a downtown experience, and social activities. A great opportunity to build connection, develop essential skills, and explore campus and community resources.
Mentor Link: Peer Mentorship Program
Join a peer-to-peer mentorship program and discover the confidence, connections, and community you need to thrive. Connect with an experienced upper-year student who knows the ropes and is ready to support you as you settle into your Brock journey.
BU101: Online Academic Skills Program
Get ready and feel prepared for our upcoming courses at Brock with BU101– our free online academic skills program that you can complete at your own pace. With BU101, you can familiarize yourself with Brightspace and learn key strategies for scheduling, note-taking, attending lectures and seminars, studying, researching and writing.
Welcome Week
Welcome Week takes place during the first week of classes in September and includes a full schedule of exciting events and programming. Welcome Week will provide you with opportunities to meet classmates, develop friendships, and learn everything about what Brock University offers!
