About Golden Key International
Golden Key International Honour Society is an international academic honour society that recognizes scholastic achievement among undergraduate and graduate students.
Membership into the society is by invitation only. Brock undergraduate students in the top 15% of their faculty, as well as top-performing graduate students in all fields of study will receive an invitation to join. As an international honour society with more than 400 chapters at colleges and universities around the world, Golden Key is committed to a high standard of scholastic achievement, and an ethos of integrity, innovation, respect, collaboration and diversity.
Golden Key is built around three pillars: academics, leadership, and service. Through its international network, Golden Key provides members with access to opportunities such as scholarships, professional development, networking, and member recognition.
Membership in Golden Key is by invitation only. Brock University identifies and invites eligible students based solely on academic achievement. To qualify, students must:
- Be a second-, third-, or fourth-year undergraduate student who ranks in the top 15% of their class based on cumulative academic standing; or
- Be a top-performing graduate student in any field of study.
Invitations are valid for one year from the date of issue. Once you accept your invitation and pay the one-time membership fee to Golden Key International, you are a member for life!
Joining Golden Key opens the door to a wide range of opportunities available locally through the Brock chapter and globally through the international society.

Golden Key offers over $1,000,000 in scholarships and awards annually across a range of disciplines and career stages. Canadian members have historically won a significant share of these awards, including graduate scholar awards worth up to $10,000.

Members have lifelong access to exclusive job and internship listings and a global alumni network of like-minded professionals in their fields. Realizing members’ commitment to making a difference in their communities and the world at large, Golden Key offers many ways to enhance and practice their leadership skills, including workshops and seminars, regional and international summits, and officer positions. Through the Brock chapter’s events and programming, members can take on leadership roles, develop professional skills, and engage in experiences that complement their academic achievements.
