Student Life encourages all staff and students to become aware of accessibility and stay up-to-date on accessibility practices and services. We invite feedback and suggestions to assist the University in enhancing all areas of accessibility.

Faith and Life Centre
Alphie’s Trough

Visit the Faith and Life Centre to connect with a University Chaplain, faith-based and spiritual supports, or drop-in study space.

  • Enter the University at the Rankin Pavilion (formerly called the Schmon Tower)
  • Immediately turn left to enter the Thistle corridor
  • BU4U Student Service Hub is located at the first junction

  • Enter the University at the Rankin Pavilion (formerly called the Schmon Tower)
  • Proceed straight through the Pavilion and turn right and past the Tim Hortons to the right
  • When you arrive at the bottom of the large staircase, turn right and proceed around the corner.
  • The office is located on the left-hand side. Look for the big red windows.

Accessible washrooms

Exit the Student Life Involvement Commons and turn right to head towards the Schmon Tower lobby. Accessible individual washrooms are available in the lobby across from the elevators.

  • Immediately turn left to enter the Thistle corridor
  • At the first junction, turn right at the BU4U Student Service Hub
  • Proceed down the Thistle hall – about halfway down the hall, you will find an elevator on the left-hand side
  • Take the elevator down to the 1st floor and exit out the front
  • You will now be in Market Hall – turn right out of the elevators
  • Learning Services is on the right-side of the Market.

Accessible washrooms

Exit through the back exit of TH129 and turn left. An accessible individual washroom is available just down the hall on the right.

  • Proceed down the Thistle hall – about halfway down the hall, you will find an elevator on the left-hand side
  • Take the elevator down to the 1st floor and exit out the front
  • You will now be in Market Hall – turn left out of the elevators and exit the Market Hall through the north doors
  • Follow the paved path north, down the ramp to Alphie’s Trough

Accessible washrooms

An accessible individual washroom is available on the main floor of the Faith and Life Centre.

Support persons and service animals

Service animals are permitted on campus. Support persons are permitted to attend any event, workshop or service provided by Student Life and Success. Most of our services are free, however, where charges do apply, service persons will be admitted for free.
