The goal of this event is to raise awareness about water-focused research, learning opportunities, and community work.

The Water Resilience Lab and Department of Geography and Tourism Studies would like to thank everyone who came to the 2024 World Water Day Celebration. We look forward to celebrating with you again next year!

About the World Water Day Celebration

Our exhibition aims to showcase learning and research on water at Brock, featuring engaging displays, interactive demonstrations, and thought-provoking art. We believe that by coming together as a community, we can inspire positive change and contribute to safeguarding our precious water resources.

Highlights of the event include:

  1. Research Showcase: Gain insights from experts in the field as they share their knowledge and experiences related to water.
  2. Educational Exhibits: Explore informative displays that showcase the significance of water.

We are looking for submissions from Faculty, staff, and students in the Brock community!

Our exhibition aims to showcase learning and research on water at Brock, featuring engaging displays, interactive demonstrations, and thought-provoking art. We believe that by coming together as a community, we can inspire positive change and contribute to safeguarding our precious water resources.

We are looking to showcase the following:

  1. Research Highlights: Experts in the field sharing their knowledge and experiences related to water (i.e., research posters)
  2. Educational Exhibits: Informative displays that showcase the significance of water.
  3. Course Highlights: Small posters to showcase courses that focus on water at Brock.
  4. Artistic Displays: Installations and exhibits that creatively communicate the importance of water.
  5. Interactive Stations: Hands-on workshops designed to engage attendees with water research, technology, practical tips on water conservation, etc.

We believe that by coming together, we can make a meaningful impact on the future of our planet’s water resources. Your presence at the World Water Day Event will help foster a shared commitment to a sustainable and water-secure world.

Submissions are due by midnight (EST) on March 7, 2024 through the submission form on this page. We look forward to your participation in this celebration of World Water Day.

Deadline: March 7, 2024

Members of the Brock community are invited to submit works to be displayed for the World Water Day Celebration. Please fill out the form below for consideration. The total number of selected works will depend on the total number of submissions, as space is limited.

Thanks to generous financial support from the Faculty of Social Sciences, we are able to cover printing costs for a small number of student research posters.

Posters must be 24 in x 36 in.

To apply for this funding, please fill out the submission form on this page by March 7, 2024. Make sure to check off the “yes” box on the “Student Poster Funding” section of the form to be considered!

Applicants for this funding will be notified by March 12 if their printing expenses will be covered or not.
