Caitlyn Gallant has been a Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator in the Psychology department since 2016 when she began her Master of Psychology degree at Brock.
Her teaching has focused primarily on courses in behavioural neuroscience and brain-behaviour relationships. More recently, she was able to apply her clinical experience at the St. Catharines hospital to being the TA for the Abnormal Psychology course.
Her goal, she says, is to “challenge students and build their knowledge and skills, while fostering creativity, personal growth, and an intrinsic motivation to learn. I believe that this is best achieved through active and applied learning experiences, mentorship beyond the classroom, and reflective and individualized teaching.”

“Caitlyn is an absolutely extraordinary TA. She is one of the most open, kind and inviting people I have ever had the pleasure to know. I remember being inspired by the engaging way she could lead student discussion, such that she would keep it interesting by asking discussion questions and being open to all student insight.
