Content | Proofread all content on the website for accuracy, grammar, and spelling errors. |
Test functionality and links | Test all website functions, such as links, forms, and media files, to ensure they work correctly. |
Redirect old URLs | If migrating from an old website, old website URLs can be redirected to the new website to avoid broken links and maintain search rankings. Contact University Marketing and Communications for assistance with redirects. |
Test mobile | Test the website on a mobile device to verify that the website is responsive. You may need to tweak some content to ensure it looks good on all devices. |
Accessibility check | Ensure that all the images on your website have alt text, headings are structured properly and descriptive links are configured. View Brock’s Accessibility Checklist for more information. |
Analytics and tracking | University Marketing and Communications monitors and tracks all Brock websites using Google Analytics. You can request a report as needed. |
Security and VPN | Access to WordPress dashboard is restricted to the Brock network for security reasons. You will have full access if you are working on campus, but if you need to access WordPress dashboard remotely you will need to set up a VPN connection on your computer. Access and training | University Marketing and Communications will provide access to your website as well as training materials. Please reach out if you need support or additional training. |
Ongoing maintenance | Set up a maintenance plan for your website to ensure content is always up-to-date. |
