Hope was a Teaching Assistant for the ENGL 1F91 (English Literature: Tradition and Innovation) course in the Department of English Language and Literature for the 2019-2020 academic year.

In her first year as a TA Hope demonstrated a commitment to professional development and reflection in order to develop her teaching practice. Hope’s commitment to learning and reflection has enabled Hope to increase her confidence as she makes connections between her professional learning and teaching practice.

“Teaching is leadership” says Hope “because these young people trust me and are looking up to me, and the things I share with them now will go a long way towards forming their thinking patterns.”
