Consumer Perceptions of Coffee

Description

Participants will come into the consumer lab and taste one of four brewed coffee blends. They will rate their coffee on various metrics and answer a series of coffee purchasing questions in a Qualtrics survey.

Study title

The optimal sites to calculate mean skin temperature (EEL-182)

Description

The purpose of this study is to improve current formulas to calculate mean skin temperature. Participants will have their skin temperature measured over different parts of the skin in a room as it becomes warm, cool, then back to room temperature. We aim to identify the best measurement locations to estimate mean skin temperature. Required

Study title

Stories that Support: Using Storytelling to Co-Develop a Support Intervention for Sport-Related Concussion

Description

You are invited to participate in a research study to help develop a hockey support program for athletes recovering from a concussion. As an athlete with concussion experience, coach, or team healthcare provider (e.g., athletic therapist, physiotherapist), your insights are valuable in helping us design effective strategies that meet the hockey communities needs. If you choose to participate, you will join a single focus group lasting about 2.5-3 hours, where you will share your experiences and ideas to help improve support for athletes.

Incentive/Compensation

If you take part, you’ll receive a $5 Tim Hortons gift card and some small thank-you items, and snacks will be provided for in-person focus groups. If you wish, we will also provide written confirmation of volunteer hours.

  • Hockey Coaches (part of a youth [15-24] ice hockey team) have interacted with athletes who have sustained a concussion.
  • Hockey Team Healthcare Providers (part of a youth [15-24] ice hockey team) have interacted with athletes who have sustained a concussion.
