AIA Lecture on human sacrifice among the Etruscans
Professor Nancy de Grummond (Department of Classics, Florida State University), a Norton Lecturer for the AIA this year, will present an illustrated lecture titled "Etruscan Human Sacrifice in Myth and Ritual." The lecture is free and open to the public, and will be followed by complimentary cookies and coffee outside AS 202. Please note the change of venue for this month's lecture! This is the final lecture of the 2011-2012 academic year and will be followed by a potluck near campus.

All talks are held in the Graduate Workroom/Library (IC 335) followed by light refreshments in the Humanities Faculty Lounge. All are welcome to attend.

Locations
The Department of Classics is located in the new International Centre Building (IC). It is marked #34 on the campus map which you can download here or use the interactive version by clicking on the campus map link at the bottom of this page. This 3-storey grey building is located on Norman Road (accessible from both Glenridge Avenue and St David's Road) between Quarryview Residence and the 573A Glenridge Building. There is paid parking available in the lot directly in front of the building as well as in the lot marked EA next to East Academic (#25 on the campus map). For other events on campus, such as the AIA lectures located in Academic South (#21 -- please note that it is labeled as "South Block" on the map), visitor paid parking is available in Lots D and P, as well as in paid parking in front of the Schmon Tower.
