Computer Science Students Earn First Place in AI Competition at CS Games

Students from Brock University’s Department of Computer Science delivered an outstanding performance at the CS Games 2026, earning first place in the Artificial Intelligence Competition.

The Brock team included Ray Huang, Nikola Jankovic, Lauren Corbeil, Alaqmar Gandhi, Parker TenBroeck, Braxton Holmes, Geoffrey Jensen, Jacob Applebaum, and Stephen Stefanidis. Ray Huang and Nikola Jankovic secured the first-place finish in the AI competition, bringing home the championship trophy for Brock.

The team demonstrated remarkable dedication throughout the competition, travelling nearly seven hours to Montreal, working through demanding schedules with early mornings and late nights, and enthusiastically participating in every event for which they were assigned. Their commitment, teamwork, and perseverance were instrumental to the team’s success.

The Department also recognizes Dr. Michael Winter for accompanying the students, providing guidance throughout the competition, and supporting the team during the trip.

The Department of Computer Science congratulates all team members on this excellent achievement and thanks everyone who contributed to making the trip possible. The success at CS Games 2026 highlights the talent, teamwork, and enthusiasm of Brock Computer Science students and serves as an inspiration for future teams to continue competing and excelling at national computing competitions.
