Computer Science programs

Computer Science at Brock provides courses leading to honours and pass BSc degrees in single major programs and BSc and BA honours degrees in combined major programs. The honours program consists of two streams: software engineering and intelligent systems. There is also a cross-disciplinary program in Computing and Business.

Undergraduate program

The Department of Computer Science offers four-year programs of study leading to single or combined BSc (Honours), single Computer Science Co-op BSc (Honours), combined Mathematics/Computer Science Co-op BSc (Honours), single BSc with Major in Computer Science and combined BA (Honours) degree program.

MSc Program

The Department of Computer Science offers a program leading to the Master of Science (MSc) degree. Graduate research topics may be conducted in the broad areas of computational logic and algebra, data mining, evolutionary computation, artificial intelligence, algorithms, parallelism, and combinatorics.

Minor in Applied Computing

You can now enhance your major by adding a Minor in Applied Computing (APCO). This gives you an opportunity to supplement your major interest with courses designed to provide an overview of the diverse areas in which computing is applied.

PhD Program

The Department of Computer Science and the Department of Mathematics & Statistics offers a joint program leading to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Intelligent Systems and Data Science. Graduate research topics may be conducted in the broad areas of computer science and mathematics.
