Lifespan Speaker Series – Children’s Social, Emotional and Cognitive Development – What’s happening and why?

Childhood is a time of growth, experimentation and learning – but parents/caregivers and anyone who works or interacts with children might not know about all of the different changes that children experience, and how those changes might interact with a child’s behaviour.

This free webinar on Wednesday, November 24 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. EST, explored the child-focused research of three different professors at Brock University, including topics such as:

  • Preschooler’s procrastination behaviour
  • The development of (dis)honesty across childhood
  • Children’s ability to recognize parents and teachers
  • First impressions of children’s faces

Please note that this webinar does not recommend any specific resource and/or treatment options, nor is it intended to provide individual advice. Individuals should consult with their healthcare team/treatment provider for all healthcare recommendations and decisions.

We would like to acknowledge the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Office of Research Services, which helped to make this event possible.
