My area of research is focused on Educational Studies (Cognition and Learning), and I am passionate about supporting students and teachers.

- Peterborough Special Olympics Basketball Volunteer: Supports athletes in skill-building, confidence, and social connections.

- Board Member of the Durham Down Syndrome Association
- Founder and Organizer of the Izzy Salangsang Sibling Post-Secondary Scholarship and the DDSA High School Graduate Scholarship

Next steps/future goals:
I hope to continue to publish research and present at conferences. I also hope to continue the meaningful work I am doing to support Teacher Candidates at Trent University and Brock University
