The Indigenous Certificate Program is designed as a full-time program for Indigenous students who wish to pursue university studies.
The program is designed as a transitional program that will assist Indigenous students, many of whom may be parents of young children, in overcoming a variety of academic, cultural and linguistic barriers.
Embedded within a holistic system of support that will assist Indigenous students in achieving their full academic potential, the certificate program is designed to offer culturally appropriate advising, and assist with childcare liaison support throughout the duration of the program. Further, through academic rigor the program is intended to provide the students with solid transferrable skills to successfully transition into an undergraduate program.
