Dear Readers,
We are delighted to feature eight articles and a book review in this, the newest issue of Brock Education: A Journal of Educational Research and Practice. Over the past year Brock Education Journal has gained further recognition by being newly listed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) within the Web of Science. ESCI is linked to a wider circulation of international readers. Hence, authors of BEJ gain greater visibility. We are also pleased that BEJ has been relisted with the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). The two listings signal that BEJ produces quality, peer reviewed open access material and is committed to contributing positively to the scholarly open access community.Read more

We acknowledge the land on which Brock University was built is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples, many of whom continue to live and work here today. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and is within the land protected by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum agreement. Today this gathering place is home to many First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples and acknowledging reminds us that our great standard of living is directly related to the resources and friendship of Indigenous people.
