Have you ever wondered how focus and attention affect everyday life as we get older?

  • What is this study about?

We all experience moments where our mind wanders and then snaps back during everyday activities. We’re interested in understanding these natural shifts in attention, and how they affect what we’re doing, especially as we age!

  • Who can participate?

Young adults (18-30 years old) and older adults (60-80 years old), access to a computer and internet or ability to come to campus, no history of mild cognitive impairment or dementia, vision problems, traumatic brain injury. English as an early language.

  • What’s involved in participating?

A 1.5 hour testing session, either virtually or on-campus in the Neurocognitive Aging Lab where you will be asked to do an object perception game on the computer and fill out some questionnaires.

  • What do individuals get for participating?

Participants receive either a $15 (CAD) Amazon gift card for participating online, or $15 (CAD) in cash if participating in-person. Also, eligible Brock students can alternatively receive 1.5 SONA research credits for being a part of this study.

If you are interested in participating in this study and meet all of the eligibility criteria, please fill out the form below and the researchers will contact you at their earliest convenience.
