Audio Visual Services supports hybrid meetings, virtual events, interviews, thesis defenses, and collaborative learning through video conferencing solutions across campus.
As part of Brock University’s modernization of video conferencing services, Microsoft Teams has replaced Lifesize as the University’s primary video conferencing platform. Teams is integrated into many classrooms, meeting rooms, and event spaces, providing a consistent experience for faculty, staff, students, and guests.
Our team provides support for both day-to-day meetings and larger hybrid events, helping to ensure a reliable and user-friendly experience for in-person and remote participants.
Services include:
- Hybrid meeting and event support
- Microsoft Teams room support
- Teams meeting assistance and troubleshooting
- Camera, microphone, and audio system integration
- User training and support
- HyFlex Classrooms
Brock University maintains several HyFlex-enabled classrooms that support simultaneous in-person and remote participation through Microsoft Teams.
Current HyFlex classrooms include:

Additional spaces will be added as classroom upgrades and technology refresh projects are completed across campus.
Microsoft Teams Town Hall
For large-scale virtual and hybrid events, Brock University offers Microsoft Teams Town Hall. This platform is ideal for keynote presentations, guest speakers, campus announcements, town halls, public lectures, and other events where content is being delivered to a large audience.
