Daniella Bozzo

Master of Applied Gerontology

Program Entry Date: September 2020

I completed my undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at Western University. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I enrolled in experiential learning opportunities focused on health and aging where I became passionate about merging my knowledge in health promotion with the study of gerontology. I happened to learn about the Master of Applied Gerontology program from a friend who was completing a degree at Brock. What I love about the MAG program is that it is well-rounded and unique. The courses offered allow you to broaden your perspectives on aging over diverse topic areas. Moreover, I was thrilled to be getting hands on experience within the practicum opportunity provided by the MAG program. I completed my practicum within a community agency where I applied knowledge in research and program evaluation. The knowledge, skills, and opportunities provided through the MAG program has enabled me to propel my career in health promotion. Since graduating, I have been working as a Health Promoter for Niagara Region Public Health. My goal is to continue to advocate for and positively impact, the health of older adults living in the Niagara region!
