Established in 1996, the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI) at Brock University continues to work in partnership with the Grape Growers of Ontario, Wine Growers Ontario and Ontario Craft Wineries. CCOVI is an internationally recognized research institute focused on research priorities of the Canadian grape and wine industry, and the continuing educational and outreach services needs of that community.

Professional & Continuing Studies
For over 20 years, CCOVI has been proud to offer the most highly respected wine, cider, and spirits programs in the industry. Alongside CCOVI’s own team of researchers and instructors, the Institute has partnered with renowned organizations including the Wine and Spirits Education Trust® and the Cider Institute of North America, to offer courses and certifications ranging from appreciation to production, for both enthusiasts and industry professionals.
Outreach Services
CCOVI is dedicated to offering innovative outreach services to the grape and wine community. In consultation with the industry, the Institute is continually developing new outreach programs. Whether it be industry sponsored conferences, workshops, lecture series or analytical services, CCOVI advances technology and information transfer throughout the industry.
