CONTEST!!! Voyage of Discovery Display
The Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures has mounted an exhibit in the Learning Commons and Thistle hallway showcasing various aspects of French, German, Italian, and Hispanic and Latin American Cultures. We invite you to view the intriguing assortment of items on display and win a prize by successfully answering a skill-testing question each week. The questions will be posted on various sites and all are welcome to respond.
Place: Display cases in the Library Commons and Thistle corridor
Date: Monday, September 16 to Friday, October 4
The challenge is to find the clever joke in the display AND to come up with a similar one on your own, based on any of the objects in the display cases or images on the collage. To win a prize, please send your responses to: dbielicki@brocku.ca

Italian Canadian Archives Project’ (ICAP) Conference – October 25-26, 2019
MLLC is hosting the Ninth Annual Conference of the ‘Italian Canadian Archives Project’ (ICAP) on the theme: Italian-Canadian Experiences in Canada’s Work Force from October 25 – 26, 2019 at Brock University.
Call for Papers deadline for submissions on Friday, June 7, 2019. Confirmation of acceptance will be communicated by June 28, 2019.

Voix plurielles (April-May 2019)
The April-May issue of Voix plurielles (16.1, 2019) includes five articles on literary works dealing with different forms and places of colonization (from Canada to Africa), beautiful creative work by Arnold McBay, and fourteen book reviews, including some MLLC members Nigel Lezama, Nicholas Hauck and Julien Defraeye.
