Our Anti-Oppression 101 Certificate series offers individuals the opportunity to learn about and explore critical social justice topics while gaining practical knowledge and earning a certificate!  

Throughout this series, you will learn learn about various topics under the umbrella of Anti-Oppression, with a focus on intersectionality and highlighting the experiences of equity-denied and marginalized communities.

Complete 5 workshops to earn a Standard Anti-Oppression Support Certificate or complete 10 or more workshops to receive an Advanced Certificate.

WORKSHOPS INCLUDE:

• Anti-Oppression 101: This is an introductory workshop on Anti-Oppression and the impact of systemic oppression on diverse communities.
• Anti-Racism 101: This is an introductory workshop on Anti-Racism, the different forms of racism and strategies to combat racism in our
  everyday lives.
• Cultural Awareness and Competency: This workshop explores Cultural Awareness and Competency, the importance of being culturally inclusive within community spaces.
• Implicit Bias: This workshop explores Implicit Bias, the impact bias has on our everyday thoughts, actions and behaviors.
• Gender and Sexual Diversity: This workshop explores Gender and Sexual Diversity, delving into the different identities a part of the 2S&LGBTQ+ community, as well as tips to become more inclusive.
• Intersectional Feminism: This workshop explores Intersectional Feminisms, exploring the history of feminism and the interconnectedness of gender, race, class, and other identities.
