  • Status of Campus Elevators

    As part of the University Capital Plan the following Elevator Modernization Projects are planned for 2024

    • * Welch Hall – Complete Modernization (TKE) – Construction May 6th to June 24th
    • * GLN A – Complete Modernization (Brock Elevator) – Construction May -13th to May 31st  (approx)
    • Mackenzie Chown A Block – Complete Modernization (Brock Elevator) – Construction June 3rd to July 5th

    * Please note that Welch Hall and GLN A Elevators are single cars servicing their respective buildings; alternate accessibility arrangements are very limited.

  • Facilities Update – International Centre (GLNB) – Stairwell C and Lounge 104 Closure – May 10-31

    Please be advised that stairwell C and Lounge 104 will be closed for construction between May 10 to May 31. During this time, a wall will be constructed in Stairwell C to block off the section between the Lounge and the second-floor stairwell.

    For the most part, there should not be any excessive noise. There will be sanding and cutting, but with vacuum systems, dust should be minimal.

  • UPDATE – Mackenzie Chown Complex – Painting of doors due to changing of door handles

    We wish to advise that our Brock University Locksmiths will be periodically changing out the knob handles for lever handles on all door in Mackenzie Chown Complex. Please note that we are not changing the cylinders and that the original key will still work. The painter will be following behind the locksmith to paint doors that need to be patched and where the escutcheon plates do not line up with the previous ones.

    There will be some disruption at each door for a couple of hours to complete this work.
