Our learners generally use one of two paths when financing their course fees:
- The Canada-Ontario Jobs Grant (COJG), or
- The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)
Which one is right for you?
The COJG must be submitted by an employer. If you are an employer looking to finance employee training or if you work for an employer who is willing submit an application on your behalf, the COJG is the way to go. Click on “COJG” below for more information.
OSAP applications are submitted directly by the learner and funds are release directly to the learner. Only certain programs, however, are eligible for OSAP funding. Click on “OSAP” below for more information.
The Canada Ontario Jobs Grant is a funding agency for employee training provided by approved training providers, such as Brock University. The fund will cover up to 80% of the cost of training, but the application must be submitted by an eligible employer.
The application process needs time to be approved by the granting agency, so we encourage employers to submit their applications as much in advance of the scheduled start of the training program or course as possible.
To apply for funding go to :
Canada-Ontario Job Grant – Employer Application Form (COJG). Click on the link and hit “Apply Now” at the bottom for further details.
As your training provider contact [email protected] for the ‘Canada Revenue Agency number’ needed on your application.

The type and amount of OSAP funding is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Please note: To release OSAP funds, Brock must confirm your registration and participation in the course. Therefore, you must register and pay for the course before funds will be released. If you fail to complete the course, the government will ask for the funds to be returned. For more information or to apply for funding visit the OSAP webpage.
