Dr. David Yesaya is an Assistant Professor in the French program. His field of study is postcolonialism in (North) Africa and its diaspora in Europe, America and Asia. He has published many works addressing questions of urban, racial and ethnic identities. His most recent academic book is titled La réussite sociale du migrant postcolonial en France (2023). Dr. Yesaya’s current research focuses on the fictional representation of Africa by contemporary Black Atlantic  Francophone writers, filmmakers and singers.
