Monstrous Women in Hispanic Arts and Cultures

This course investigates the depiction of women as monstrous or deviant in Hispanic film, popular culture, mythology, and literature. We will explore issues of physical and psychological representations of monstrosity, marginalization, and censorship of female monsters.
