MyGrief.ca can help you understand grief and work through some of the difficult issues you may be facing. The program is set up in online learning modules. This is not to replace professional counselling or other health care services.

Bereaved Families of Ontario: South Central Region
We are a peer-to-peer grief support organization providing programs and services for bereaved individuals and families to connect with other bereaved individuals and families for support, community, and companionship. Free grief support programs and services for children, teens and adults of all ages serving the Niagara, St. Catharines, Hamilton, Burlington, Brantford, and Haldimand-Norfolk region.

Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Palliative Care Service
Phone Bereavement Program: When requested, calls are given up to a year following a loved one’s death. Calls are set up with a qualified bereavement companion.
Community Wellness Support: Community events and workshops are held throughout the year at our location.
One-on-One Support: We offer 1:1 telephone, virtual, or in-person support to those people who require a little more companionship during their most difficult journey.

Pathstone Mental Health
Children’s Mental Health Agency provides therapeutic grief counselling for children, adolescents, adults and families. Operate from a trauma-informed lens and strive to assist clients with moving forward with a resilient mindset.

Crisis Services Line: Pathstone has a Crisis Services Line 1-800-263-4944, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Network
We offer a variety of peer-support services (at no cost to families) to parents and family members who have been affected by pregnancy or infant loss. Our support services are offered over the phone and online and are available to residents of Ontario.

If you or a loved one is living with cancer, Wellspring is here to help. We can help you overcome the emotional, physical, and practical challenges you may be experiencing. Online programs, self-paced learning, groups. Please register as a Wellspring member before signing up for any programs.

Hospice Niagara – Bereavement Support Programs
Bereavement support is available to anyone in the Niagara region regardless of cause of death.  Hospice provides facilitated peer group support for adults, adolescents and children, grief walks, and mindfulness hike.

Hospice Niagara – Palliative Care Outreach Teams
Provide psychosocial and bereavement counselling to palliative clients and their families. This team works in partnership with primary care providers, including family physicians and community visiting nurses to provide consistent and comprehensive care in the client’s home. Please note that referrals to Hospice Niagara Community Palliative Care Teams require a referral from your family physician.

Soul Journeys Healing & Companioning
As a Death Doula, I provide holistic palliative and end of life care, pain and symptom management through Reiki and Palliative Massage, and bereavement to the dying and their loved ones.
