We coordinate exam accommodations for registered students, working closely with instructors to ensure the exam process is both accessible and upholds integrity.

Exam accommodations are tailored to meet individual needs based on the functional limitations described in your supporting documentation.

Confirm your in-person exams in OASIS prior to the deadline to inform us about your need for accommodation.

Schedule

We’ll schedule a space to support your accommodations.

Up to 5 days prior to the exam date we’ll email you the scheduling details:

Write

On the day before your exam:

On the day of your exam:

  • Arrive 10 minutes early.
  • Bring your Brock Student ID card.

Academic Integrity Policy

Students writing exams in Student Accessibility Services are required to adhere to the Brock University – Academic Integrity Policy.

Exam time changes due to scheduling conflicts or deferrals

If you need to change your exam time due to a scheduling accommodation (as outlined in your OASIS accommodation plan), or defer your exam due to illness or an extenuating circumstance supported by your Case Manager, please submit the “Exam time change form”.

Issues with accommodations

Report any issues with accommodations, equipment, or technology to exam staff immediately. If you don’t report the issue before your exam ends, we can’t verify its impact with your instructor.

Any time spent resolving the issue will be added to the end of your exam.

Online exams

Contact your instructors in advance to confirm your extra time in Brightspace and resolve any conflicts. Before the exam, check that the extra time is accurate.

You can use your assistive technology for online exams if it’s part of your accommodation plan.
