Feedback sought by the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation on educational development programming for 2024-25

In alignment with the University’s Academic Plan, the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation is seeking feedback from Brock’s educators that will help inform their educational development programming over 2024-25. This is with particular reference to Action 1b within the Academic Plan, which reads:

“Invest in the development of robust professional development opportunities for faculty, academic staff, and graduate students, including in the design of effective learning experiences and assessments across all course delivery modes.”

In addition to individual and departmental consultations, CPI offers an Instructor Certificate Program and Teaching Assistant programs in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. In 2023-24, CPI also offered a webinar series focusing on assessment in the age of artificial intelligence.

This brief survey provides Brock’s educators (including but not limited to faculty members, professional librarians, instructors, teaching assistants, markers, graders, and lab demonstrators) with an opportunity to provide their input, including concerning desired areas of focus, preferred modalities, and scheduling of sessions.
