Following the open call released on October 26, the University has formed an advisory committee under section 3 of the Policy on the Appointment of the President and Vice-Presidents concerning the appointment of a Vice-President, Research. The committee will include:

- Stephanie Thompson, Board of Trustees representative
- Mark Robertson, SAC representative

- Ben Johnson, BUSU representative
- Christopher Yendt, GSA representative
- Jennifer Guarasci, Associate Vice-President, Human Resources (non-voting resource to the committee)
