Announcing the Advisory Committee on the Vice-President, Research

Following the open call released on October 26, the University has formed an advisory committee under section 3 of the Policy on the Appointment of the President and Vice-Presidents concerning the appointment of a Vice-President, Research. The committee will include:

  • Lynn Wells, Interim President and Vice-Chancellor, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, Committee Chair
  • Terrance Wade, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences
  • Nancy Taber, Faculty of Education
  • Danny Cho, Goodman School of Business
  • Jason Hawreliak, Faculty of Humanities
  • Michael Bidochka, Faculty of Math & Sciences
  • Karen Campbell, Faculty of Social Sciences
  • Ian Gordon, Professional Librarian
  • Stephanie Thompson, Board of Trustees representative
  • Mark Robertson, SAC representative
  • Jayne Crawley, staff representative
  • Ben Johnson, BUSU representative
  • Christopher Yendt, GSA representative
  • Jennifer Guarasci, Associate Vice-President, Human Resources (non-voting resource to the committee)
  • Kelly Veld, Office of the President & Vice-Chancellor (non-voting resource to the committee)
  • Nick Dion, Chief of Staff, Office of the Interim President and Vice-Chancellor, Provost and Vice-President, Academic (non-voting resource to the committee)

The membership of the committee has also been circulated by email from the President’s Office to faculty members (via their Deans) and to BUSU and the GSA.
