Introduction to Romance Linguistics

Overview of phonetics, phonology, morphology and syntax of Romance languages; linguistic theories, research methodology and current issues in the study of Romance languages.

Historical Romance Linguistics

Factors affecting language change: internal history (sounds and inflection) and external forces (politics and society). Methods and theories applied to the historical study of Romance linguistics.
